Xanthelasma (white spots around the eyes), a common cosmetic issue of generally after 4th decade of life. It is often associated with high circulating blood cholesterol levels or disorders of lipid metabolism. Hence if you have any evidence of xanthelasma, we advise you to seek the help of your doctor. Interestingly these are more common in females than in males. Conventionally this is removed surgically by eye specialists, but results are variable. We at Renew Skin and Health Clinic have oculoplastic surgeons to remove this too, but for smaller lesions, we prefer CO2 laser vaporisation of Xanthelasma. The client in the video is a 45 yrs old lady who had extensive lesions on both upper and lower eyelids and underwent a staged procedure. In the first stage, we vaporised one lesion from R upper eyelid and this time (6 weeks later) the identical one from the left upper eyelid.
